newport_rod Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Newport MRS in association with NAGNAG (the Newport and Gwent Neighbourhood Area Group of the Scalefour Society) are holding an open day on Saturday 2nd March 2013 10:30 to 16:30 Flushed with the success of our last open day, which was held on Saturday 16th October 1971, we have decided to hold another one. The open day isn’t meant to be an exhibition rather an opportunity to chat with fellow modellers and share a few experiences. The layouts won’t be operating as they would at an exhibition giving visitors and club members alike a chance to swap thoughts. Hopefully visitors will have the opportunity to run one or two of their locos too. The emphasis will be on 4mm scale, with Scalefour four layouts Allt-y-Graban Road, Crockherbtown, Cwm Du and Llanastr, but Gauge O will be represented with the club’s soon-to-be-finished layout, Frecclesham, and a part of the club test track. Admission will be free (but our Treasurer has never been known to turn down a donation).
