craig449
I have got a Bachmann Jinty and Pannier Tank that are 8 pin. I want to put a DCC chip in without all the wires what would be good to put in Would a Gaugemaster DCC24 OPTI 8 Pin Direct Plug Decoder fit in these locos
ChrisWV10
A TCS dp2x-uk certainly fits the pannier. Can't comment on the jinty or the DCC24 decoder. C.
AMJ
Many of the locos are designed for the wired 8 pin chips as they are often slid into a recess in the boiler rather than above the socket. I can't comment on the later 8 pin Jinty as mine was pre 8 pin and hard wired.
dave flint
My jinty has a tiny TCS M1 in it. Fits fine and is a superb runner. Plug into the socket and feed the chip into a small recess (i think it was the boiler IIRC).
