A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

Fresh out of the TRW from weathering, these two have also had the roof's repainted using Vallejo dark sea grey. Don't they look much better for it.

Agree strongly Rob.  There is something a little bit too "chocolate box-y" about white roofs.

I'm hoping to do mine in something murky soon as well.

Sorry to disagree but then I would, wouldn't I:rolleyes:  Due to all my Hornby GW stock being stuck in the 'thirties, I rather like the era anyway  and white brightens up the layout a bit, not that all you weathering OOers would appreciate that:o.  Brent is certainly not in that era and Robins layout really exemplifies a decade later on the GWR.

Ooooooooh! Are 6412 and 6430 in as was condition (i.e. not offensive and without additional daft extra bits) when rescued from wherever they went after 1963/4 @ Seaton Junction/Exmouth Junction? They are the two wot I will use on my train set in a few years time.

I ask because my friend wants to know if it is worth coming down to have a look at them?

The Chief Inspector is called to the scene.  Whilst the crowd is well mannered, it is now getting very large and there is an element of hysteria brewing,

so he decides to call in the Mounted unit.

The crowd grows as does the noise:

By now, politicians old and current are wheeled out in front of the Cameras:

Tony B Liar:   "Tough on Moguls, and Tough on the causes of Moguls"

M Thatcher  "This Mogul Is Not for Turning"

Julius Ceasar "Veni Vidi Mogul"

D Trump  "Fake Moguls........"

There is only one thing that will quieten the braying international gatherings across the Globe:

Show us yer grubby Mogul Robin.
