Looking at doing a photo shoot with my cattle vans but I can't remember what the lamp code is and photos shew conflicting codes. I thought it was C , I've also seen H but I'm open to more information from the learned types on here.

Could it be dependant on whether it is loaded, or empty?

I did read somewhere recently that they were rated more important when load, for animal

welfare considerations.

All the best

If it's carrying sheep it's probably "U" lamp coded.   Or is that lamb code?

Wrong thread.:jester:

U.S. Marshal walks into a saloon.

'Have you seen a man in a paper shirt?'

- 'No, Marshal.'

'Have you seen a man in a paper vest?'

- 'No, Marshal.'

'Paper pants?'

-'No, Marshal. What's he wanted for?'

'Rustling.'

Although a lot of my stock is weathered professionally, I do on occasions like to add my touch to stuff, in this case the cattle wagons.

Very nicely done Sir.

Someone was making a nice resin kit  (OO) of these "road vans" - not sure if they are still in production - I made one up - looks great and went together very easily.

They may have been advertised in the back of the Toddler..........

Smallbrook Studios do a nice resin one, made up really nicely but, as usual, I can’t get my pictures to load on here.

They’re the ones. A little more expensive than your average kit, but you get everything you need , wheels , couplings, wire for Hand rails etc.
Usual disclaimer, just enjoyed making it.

Does it go together easily? Asking for a friend (see quote below) ;)

Yes and when it's extremely hot in the loft where my spray-booth is, I'm weathering your stock in very little clothing and sweating gallons - worse conditions than if I was detained by the MiM and placed in the Iron Bulleid :P

It went together fairly easily, I had to straighten one of the sides in warm water. Used superglue on a fine stitck to join it .

Underframe is one piece but needed a lit of flash cleaning out. It sits straight and level and runs evenly. No problems.
