Looking at Robin's wagon photos it saddens me that the RTR manufacturers do not produce a GWR 5 1/2 plank open or an LMS/BR 5 plank open with wrinkly tin ends  but leave us with a generic 5 plank wagon that is not  even a model of the LMS all wood, or the SR ones made for the LNER at the end of WW2.

Its the WSRs 40th Aniversary special on Saturday evening.

 

2 Manors plus 14 coaches. ie 2 x 5 coach sets from the days service, plus the 4 Quantock Belle Diners.

Pic was at Blue Anchor on the return trip, complete with some lady dressed in Edwardian(?) garb, including parasol.

 

 

Good to see they can still put on a show, inspite of their impecunious state. Its the volounteers that do it, and they

deserve our support. As long as they can avoid further bouts of the infighting that seems to have recurred over the years.

The reason I said compo, is because the panel above the Crest is bigger than the one in the middle between the two sets of windows.
