Clearwater
Hi Rob On the mogul, is the number plate a flat transfer? Wondering about renumbering possibilities. I also thought it looked quite tasty... cheers David

Apparently they're working from a photo.

They did say plane smokebox doors will be available as spares for those of us modelling pre BR. 1 1

If not, well time to get the shirtbutton version and change that. I feel like the plain smokebox on the GWR version would have been more profitable compared to have a very early BR version. 1

I wonder if they will be able to be opened like this one....? Cheers from Oz, Peter C. PS. The Mogul pictures do look very tasty, like the BR green with 'Caerphilly-works' tender lining. 3 6

RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted November 25, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2019 A photo of some gesticulating valve gear seen on an American loco model yesterday. What a beautiful model indeed.
RMweb Gold john dew Posted November 25, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2019 Good Morning Robin Thank you for posting all those photos from Warley.......lots to look forward to in 2020 I have now got my Cromwells securely tethered to the Warflats. It was a long frustrating process which I have described on my Granby thread. Here are a few pictures The shank on the Roxey eyes are too short. I binned them and fixed the chain to a piece of 1mm brass rod inserted into the hole I had drilled. It needs to be trimmed and then painted out The securing chains are made from loco screw links attached to chain by a home made ring I am afraid the tank weathering is not to the same standard as "Trains" and "Boldly" but hopefully it will suffice trundling around Granby at 15 mph (once I have adjusted the jacks of course) Now I just have to fix the Millicast Comet to the Warwell Regards from Vancouver John 12

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted November 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 28, 2019 Ummmm. 94XX does look very good indeed. Mogul...if they would just do something about that weird chimney fitting, otherwise it looks very smart IMO but I know nuffink about such engines. Pannier with Turban looks great too. I hate Warley so thanks Robin for braving the good looking Hornby Assistants and showing us your adjustable truss. Any coaches worth looking at by any chance? All the best from a balmy and comfortably warm 36E, where I await the arrival of 44781 I think it is. Had to get up early as it is here in about 90 minutes. RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted November 28, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 28, 2019 Thanks to a heads up from @BenL I missed seeing the GWR version of the Bachmann 94xx as it was in their collectors club lounge at Warley. I think it looks rather nice. Although we've been waiting five years, it looks like it's finally on the way. It will be hard to resist one. 10 2

bgman
Whilst in Waterstones earlier today this book caught my attention. Although it's outside my general modelling period I must say there are some cracking' photographs contained inside and for £19.99 I think it was worth the purchase. Guess what I'll be doing tonight ? NO ! not that ! G 2

The tow hook adapter is the thing on the top of the trailer. The Matadors also carried the fuel for the flame throwers.
