Maybe slightly a few days after the Chrimbo but my other Grandson wouldn't complain :drink_mini:

It just so happens to be his favourite locomotive too.

"O" for another Dean Goods !

Robin, you seriously need to get yourself one for ANTB as Clive quite correctly says, " I thought it was an unwritten rule that all GWR modellers had a Dean Goods ".

Thank you all very much for the kind comments, I appreciate them all.

Although the driver looks very young, I'm sure he's still out of gauge.

Let me help out Robin here. Dean Goods have been known to pass through Brent:

Not much.

A rebranded toad and horsebox plus the siphon H making an appearance and a blast from the past. We really have never had it so good.....

Lode Star making a re-appearance.............

Some nice new LNER and LMS items, and lots of modern (recent) diesels in multiple multi- colour schemes.

But nothing new for GWR fans.

And revival of the Bassett-Lowke name to sell some old favourites with added carbuncles - and re-branded as  "Steam Punk"

Will it end up in the bargain bins with that [shirtbutton] livery.

I hope not Robin, some of us do like that livery :-)

Happy New Year to you.

Agreed but I was thinking about the Granges in that livery being discounted.

A lovely looking model announced today by Hornby but seriously how many of these will actually run on layouts. That chimney wouldn't clear my overbridge and footbridge, would it now. Photo courtesy of Graham Muz.

Could easily remove that shirt button and apply "Great Western" upon on it and have yourself an NRM edition.

This is the "NRM" version, but NRM has rebranded........  Steam's version from a few years ago was in that livery

Robin,

Shirt-button is always a favourite when at half price - a fibreglass pencil easily removes the offending logo which is quickly hidden by the double shield part of G**W...........

Exactly what I was thinking, half price, with a super easy logo to remove, and boom, new space for the proper liveries. Did the Star Classes have the shorter standard tender later on in their lives as well as the large tenders, like seen on Hornby Knight of St. Patrick? Sorry if that is a known fact.
