A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

Really prominent seam on that mold.  Hornby really need to up their game and sort it out.  Just not good enough in this day and age.  No wonder they’ve lost the franchise to Bachmann.  Plus that blue is looking a bit brown to me.  Another massive colour fail from the Big H.  Shocking QC if you ask me.

Hi Spams

Can you make some room on the naughty step because I am sure I will be sent there for what i am about to say.

Those photographs are proof of what my mum warned me about not venturing past Royal Oak station into BANDIT COUNTRY. :rtfm:

Always happy to add some humour and even more so in these darkened times we currently live in.

Not sure I like the livery....

Will go with the one you had last year. You could run them double-headed.

Hi Robin

I like the look of those water cranes......I ,too, have a bunch of aged and, in my case, wounded Mikes Models Cranes....they are runners up to signals and lamp posts for collateral damage on Granby.

What are the principal differences between the two makes?

Hope you had a good Easter despite all the disruption.

Best wishes

John

Nice water crane Robin.  And what a cracking picture of 1363 at Brent - not seen that before.  What's the source, and do you know of the date or circumstances of the photo?  I note the buffer beam numbers are pretty small.  Was this an earlier style?
