defiant1uk
Dear All, I'm pleased to be able to announce the fine spread of layouts currently booked for this years' 14-15th September gala at Apedale! www.avlr.org.uk Annascaul (OON3) - Annascaul station was found on the well known 3’ gauge ‘Tralee & Dingle Light Railway’ in south-west Ireland. Whitehill Cement works (O14 & O16.5mm) - White Hill is is based on one of the small cement works that once flourished in the Adur Valley in West Sussex, but have sadly, long since closed. Newchapel & Goldenhill (OO) - model of Newchapel & Goldenhill on the old potteries loopline set between the 1920s to closure in the 60s. Stackton Tressell (OO) - layout built to reflect modern operating track layout and practice, but that does not stop it from being used to run trains from an earlier era! The Adit (16mm scale) – Fine scale working model of a mine adit Moorton Bottom Yard (OO9) – Fictitious goods yard of the Roth Valley Tramway. Newland's Farm (Gn15) - Newland’s Farm is a fictitious example of such a railway. Inspired loosely by fruit farming operations in Oxfordshire, the layout shows a small yard where produce from the fields enters a timber barn for sorting and onward shipment. Of course, there will also be some full size narrow gauge railway action on the "Apedale Valley Light Railway" - details TBC. We will annouce the exciting layout list for the 3 day Great War Centenary Gala in 2014 shortly - the event website is here: www.ww1-event.org Cheers,
