My latest Scalescenes Factory

Recommended Posts

Just putting the finishing touches to my recent Scalescenes factory untin.

It's actually a scenic break, as the rearmost track disapears behing a backscene and the nearest line opens out into a Diesel Depot.

I've used the Brassmasters etched windows.

Been meaning to ask, how do you fix the small ventilation windows from the fret in place in the open position?  I'm considering buying a pack of these for a project.

Here's a close up. Two small solder spots can be seen.

Hope this helps.

They make all the difference

Fabulous, thanks a lot.  Having not soldered since I was at school over 30 years ago I've just started again to put lighting in my buildings.

I'm going to need some practice before I'm as neat as you.  Otherwise my windows will look as if they've been pelted with mercury blancmange!

That's a great looking building, but I can't help thinking that there is an awful lot of bricks & concrete, not to mention any fixtures & fitting inside, on top of some very slender steel legs, and without any 'visible' means of connecting the steelwork to the masonry.
