The train is crossing the bridge over the Crooked River Gorge. The train is running next to the Columbia River(Oregon/Washington border). The train is running next to the Thompson River in its namesake canyon. The first picture features Union Pacific's Big Boy steam locomotive. The second picture is a standard UP freight train. The third picture features the Southern Pacific. All three pictures have a train running next to the Mormon Rocks. Would this be the original railway or another line altogether? I would think that the turns either end of the bridge would be far to tight for a railway.
