Here's a picture of a Ferrocarril Mexicano(Ferromex; "Mexican Railway" in Spanish) train in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico with a desert mountain in the background. Lerdo is a suburb of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. 74% of Ferromex is owned by Grupo Mexico which also owns all of the Florida East Coast Railway here in The States. The other 26% of Ferromex is owned by the Union Pacific Railroad. I sometimes see Ferromex locomotives on Union Pacific trains over here Stateside.

Here's a picture of a Metra commuter train in Downtown Chicago. The train is crossing over the Dan Ryan Expressway(Interstates 90 and 94 combined).

Actually, the train is crossing the Kennedy Expressway and is on its way into the North Western station judging by the exhaust trail.  Photo appear to be taken from the W. Grand Avenue bridge.

Here's a picture of a Union Pacific Railroad train in Magna, Utah. This short train is a tunnel clearance test train looking like a model train set consist. The Kennecott Copper Corporation smelter is in the background and is one of the tallest smokestacks in the world. Magna is a suburb of Salt Lake City.

Here's a 1987 picture of a Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad train in Canon City, Colorado. The train is traversing the world-famous Royal Gorge next to the Arkansas River. The train only has three covered hopper cars and a caboose. Canon City is 37 miles(59.2 kilometers) west-northwest of Pueblo via U.S. Route 50(US-50).
