It may be your last Colas 60 move, but I reckon they’ll be very well utilised with GBRf, and you’ll be following them there. Make sure to start another thread when the time comes; the photos you post are a unique insight for us non-railway employed folk!

May well pop to Balshaw Lane or Euxton tomorrow to see you...could be further north (of Preston) if I have a day out instead though.

Thanks,

Jack.

Good luck Jim. I look forward to your new adventures. As has been said before your thread gives us non railway folk a lot of insight into the industry we like to watch and model. It is difficult to leave one position for another but if you look back on your time with Colas and see what you have achieved then think of what you joined Colas for and what it ended up as maybe the same will happen in your new position. Keep up this thread and your modelling is great as well.

All the best

Keith

Best of luck from me too. I know how hard it is to wrench away from one employer to another and the difficulty of making such decisions. In my case, the decision was made for me, but it was the best thing that happened in my career. This industry does generally recognise good people, even if sometimes it doesn’t feel like it.

All the best,

Paul.

All the best Jim,really enjoyed this thread over the years and it is a shame you are leaving colas, but like you say you know what is best for yourself and needs must, sometimes unfortunately that can happen when a company expands, really hope you enjoy things at GBrf again, and most of all happy, plus it seems like fate you are following the 60’s,love em,wonder what they will look like in GBrf livery and if they will do anything different, again thank you very much for sharing everything you have so far and good luck.

Kind regards

David
