A trip yesterday through Donnie from London in a rattly HST revealed a number of locos parked up. (DRS and a Colas Rail still with helmet livery), but didn't spot you Jim.

Into Toton where I stabled the train for someone else to take the loco away

66620 isn’t a ‘new’ loco for me it was actually my passing out loco when I was with DRS when I first stated in the freight back in 2005!

Loco move tonight, hams hall to bescot

When you say 'we', is that you as a driver or have GBRf now got a contract to do the IM trains? Ta

From another forum/news site a few weeks ago:

the outline plan revolves around dividing the operation up into 'zones'. It is being indicated that DRS and WCRC will be operating the Scotland/North areas with Freightliner covering the North West and DBC covering South Wales and West leaving GBRf to take care of the south.

Yes ‘we’ as in GBRf

As mick has put various other TOC have been asked to help cover IM work that Colas are struggling with due to staff shortages, route knowledge etc

the only difference the public will see is the uniform the driver wears

off to doncaster tomorrow to catch up with 37610 again and maybe nick it for a run to and from toton if we can get a path in

Unusual catch in the background! The cut down MEA used for carrying test weights. That normally lives out back of the EDU on the traverser and doesn't often venture beyond the EDU.

Cheers,

Mick
