Anyone else notice the Costa cup balanced on the buffer shank in the first picture?

The devils in the detail...

Perhaps Jim will start a new trend of surreptitiously placing objects in the photo for us to find, along the lines of Where's Wally?

A sad sight earlier today, the last of the dock lines in the trafford Park estate now locked up and lifted the other side of the container terminal headshunt

spent many an hour going up and down there in the docks company 08 to and from Barton docks when I worked for fastline, something I can look back on now and say “at least I did it”

Wasn’t booked to go there today but as I refreshed the route on New Year’s Eve but didn’t see the shunts within the terminal i went along tonsee the shunt moves so I can work trains there if they are ever stuck for a driver

from there I stayed on board backntk Crewe where I was booked to pick the train up in my diagram and worked it through to Doncaster

The new order at bescot from Monday when GBRf take over the yard from DB Schenker

Hi Jim, cool photos as ever, thanks.

Are GBRf taking over just the yard or the yard and the depot? Interesting to see the use of and 08 which is contrary to DBC operations, well to a layman like myself it does!!

Some from today, 60 leaving on a steel train (note the fly that flew past as I took the pic!)

And a bit later on with a far darker sky, it snowed not long afterwards!

Have to say that the class 60 is DB red looks quite "purposeful". I like

As a matter of interest Jim.  Under the new contract, do GBRf man the class 08s at Bescot now ?

The ones posted last night (the Drax & DB 60's) are really striking - what camera did you use?

Cheers

Mall my pics are from the iPhone6 plus (unless otherwise stated) it’s a cracking camera

With that sky as a backdrop, it probably wouldn't matter. Excellent lighting....
