Anyone know where 66773 is currently on the circuit?

As confirmed by others - on the Mossend-Clitheroe.

A search of flickr.com using the date function will show recent locations of a loco to give a possible clue. [*]

This is 66773 from 6/8/20

https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=66773&min_taken_date=1596668400

Although on 5/8/20 it had worked from Wembley-Irvine and been in Tonbridge a day or two before.

Locos that find themselves on the Clitheroe Cement traffic (Mossend or Avonmouth) often tend to stay on that duty for a few weeks - excepting failure or major exam. We'll see what next week brings.

Going all Pythonesque, "Sorry, old chap, don't understand your banter!"

(6)6773 GB[RF?]NB? [heroe?]CE?M[osside?]GB? 296C00CU07 6 * CARLISLEY N?

@BokStein

66773

Pool = GBNB (GBRF new build)

Working = Clitheroe Cement GBRf - Carlisle (Kingmoor?) Yard.

296C00CU07 = Headcode 6C00, originates in the area of the country where TOPS locations, or STANOX begin 29, the second C is a Working Timetable path,  not sure on the U, 07 is the date

N = loco in normal status (ie not failed, waiting repairs etc)

Edited to add I've just found this excellent site

https://rail-record.co.uk/understanding-a-tops-list/

Thanks for the info, but it seems you're uncertain about some aspects as well!

first time I’ve been on one, mixed reviews, far more airy then a Pendolino with better views, the seats weren’t too bad but the ride was awful in places, and sat under the pantograph every time it went through a neutral section the, I can only assume, the breakers in the roof were ‘BANG.....BANG’ as they closed, they certainly accelerate well though

Not had the misfortune to be under the pan, but fits with my feeling about the ride.  Doesn’t like poor track.

Yep, that'll be the VCBs opening and closing, same thing happens on 387s (I assume it happens on all electric units, but I spend most of my time on GWR 387s), it's like a small bomb has gone off above your head, makes me jump every time, even if I know it is coming!

off on the sleeper to Inverness on Sunday for a proper undisturbed week off

Enjoy!

You’ll be routed via Ladybank as the E&G was washed out by a canal breach and is shut for two months.

I’ll hopefully be too fast asleep to care!

Must admit though with all this flooding etc I am worried about whether the train will actually run, I saw last week one night it wa as replacement bus between Edinburgh and Inverness, that I don’t want to happen!
