industrial
Went to Llangollen yesterday for the day for the preview day of the GWR autocoach No 92 with it coupled up to GWR steamrailmotor No 93 to tempt you to go there over the week end. Most likely more photos to come.
David Bigcheeseplant
Looks really nice, the roof of the steam railmotor looks quite black now compaired to the autocoach.
BG John
Someone has got to produce a RTR version of that pair! In EM preferably, but I suppose it will be 00!

Rumblestripe
What a beautiful beautiful job that is. Simply wonderful attention to detail, congratulations to everyone involved.

Ozexpatriate
Terrific photos - thank you! I've got to make a trip to see this piece of Edwardian loveliness one of these days. I wonder if this thread could be merged into the GWR Steam Rail Motor thread (also here in 'preservation') seeing as 92 and 93 are a set?
Miss Prism
If the mods are in Steam Railmotor thread-merging mood, don't forget this one as well.
RMweb Premium southern42 Posted April 23, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 23, 2013 Yes, I agree. It would be nice to keep it altogether.
Miss Prism
Given that Andy's inbox is probably too full of all sorts of 'orrible problems, how does one contact 'The Mods' on a thread-merging request?
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted April 23, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 23, 2013 Given that Andy's inbox is probably too full of all sorts of 'orrible problems, how does one contact 'The Mods' on a thread-merging request? Click on 'Report' and explain what is in mind?
Miss Prism
I've never tried 'Report' before, on the understanding it was reserved for something perceived to be nasty, but l'll give it a go. It's important that the OPs of the various threads are amenable to the merging notion.
Miss Prism
Ah, as I thought: "This form is to be used ONLY for reporting objectionable content and is not to be used as a method of communicating with moderators for other reasons." So, the question remains, how does one contact, collectively, 'The Mods'?

I don't think they should be merged as they are about different preserved items and they are not a true set.
RMweb Gold tomparryharry Posted April 23, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 23, 2013 Bit of a daft question, probably. Did the 'pair' have steam heat? I'm wondering about cold weather, and the water capacity of the railmotor. Regards, Ian

Regards, Ian Yes they do have steam heat and you can just see the steam heat hoses in one of my photos and I meant to have taken a photo of one of the heating pipes.
