Ridge tiles, down pipes then stick it all on a base and build another one. Client will be up next week so gotta get a move on. Cheers. Sweven
Great stuff Allan, I am away for a few days and things have gone up to a whole new key I didn't know existed! I was completely fooled by the derelict station 008 photograph.

allan downes
Great stuff Allan, I am away for a few days and things have gone up to a whole new key I didn't know existed! I was completely fooled by the derelict station 008 photograph. Thanks John. Coming from a man with your modelling calibre that's quite a compliment ! I found that it was harder to present a building in a derelict condition than I thought it would be and especially the roof where everything is exposed and I was more than surprised with the results but I can tell you, one bag of grass fibres goes nowhere ! - Oh, and maybe a good tip here where I didn't fancy the idea of cutting up endless lengths of card or styrene to be used for the tile laths so I used florists wire instead. Much stronger and though round and not flat, as it should be, it's hardly noticeable but now I've drawn everybodies attention to it, it will be ! Cheers. Allan.
Gravy Train
Alan, this not my vintage Strat but a Marvin Signature replica, with gold hardware and original upgraded 78 USA Fender pickups. It was built in 1915 by the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway.
allan downes
While Gravy Train was posing with a better guitar than mine, I built this. The finished shops and they ought to finance a Marvin Sig Strat too ! Or at least the strings... Cheers. Allan.

Cheers. Allan (Think I'll stick to modelling...) J T THUNDER ! 002.JPG There is an argument that a left handed guitarist should play the guitar right handed so the strongest hand is on the fret board. Our youngest daughter is left handed, plays guitar and drums right handed to a high standard. As a clarinet/saxophone specialist I don't get a choice!

Our youngest daughter is left handed, plays guitar and drums right handed to a high standard. As a clarinet/saxophone specialist I don't get a choice! I'm left handed, the army taught me to fire a rifle right handed and in consequence of this unconsidered decision, I killed the arms instructor at 1,000 yards and couldn't hit a barn from the inside. On hearing of this, the War Ministery made Hitler an offer he couldn't refuse. However, he did and consquently lost the war.
Iain C Robinson
I've just popped in on this thread to see what the boss was up to - and I see he's not been standing still...bloomin' brilliant stuff, guv. I particularly like the pre-distressed station...I imagine that must have been a commission for a branch of the Beeching family to remind them of their long lost forebear... well, it's really amazing modelling. I actually thought it was real when I first set eyes upon it. I see there's also some young guy in your living room, striking a pose with your strat- the lodger? Good to see the legendary model making skills are still on top form! cheers, Iain
