Hi Peter, I did research this number on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=50045%201988 and in my 1988 stock book, it was still in Large Logo in 1988.

Hi Simon,

Yep my bad. Had a look on Flickr after work. looks like 045 was one of the later ones to be painted in the NSE colours but was certainly a DCWA machine for a while as there are pics of it on ballast and one pic showing the DCWA sticker under the cab window.

Cheers Peter.

I hadn't noticed the DCWA sticker, which image is it?. I picked a DCWA loco so that I could run the Gloucester to Bescot DCE working http://bescotplus.co.uk/trains/50018_9M01

Hi Simon,

It's about halfway down the 1st page. Loco is at Exeter St Davids on a Waterloo service.

Thanks for the link. Just spent 20 mins checking it out, some superb pics including 50018 on what would have to be an unfitted freight.

I have seen other pics of the Glouchester Bescot working always seemed to have some interesting wagon combo's including ex works class 08s. Looking forwards to seeing this train appear on Pendeford Sidings.

Cheers Peter.

Cheers Peter, never noticed that but now I've found it I can see it was on one end only, time to see if I can find a transfer for this. Once my finances have recovered I'll be expanding my DCE fleet, so have no fear this train will appear at some point.

Hi Simon,

I enjoyed the latest video and the Grid on steel looks great too.

I have been looking at DCWA class 50 and it seems some had the sticker under the window and some didn't. I am still not sure if it was under all windows or not.

Cheers Peter.

From what I can see on Fl;ickr, it appeared it was under only one window....glad you liked the video there will be more to follow after this weekends filming session. I have to agree, the Grid looked awesome thundering round on the steel working.

The signage on the layout has been overhauled and added to as well. 37114 arrived on the layout from the Trev Hurley collection and has been re-numbered to 37104 (awaiting decals). The office for the steel terminal has been primed ready for painting.

I now have another 37/9. This one will be renumbered as 37905 and the current 37905 will be resprayed into Triple Grey with Metals sector decals as I'm not happy with my p#ss poor weathering.

Hello mate,

Looking good that, Have you given any thought to converting the spare shell to one of the 901-904s, I have a link you could look at. I'm sure there are more shops out there that offer the roof conversion kits.

http://www.shop.hurstmodels.com/ldp304-class-379-roof-conversion-kit-139-p.asp

Hope alls well otherwise mate.

Speak soon,

Dave
