Shadow
Quickly placed the new bridge on the layout and think it looks good. Noticed that I have forgotten to add the left right hand arch courses! Edit for not knowing my left and right!!! Shadow
Had a productive today yesterday. Started to make up the Wills Signal Box kit (SS48). It says it's based on a Saxby and Farmer one from the GER at Wisbech Town. The only problem was that the stairs and doors were on the wrong end for where I wanted to put it. This involved removeing the doors and swapping with the panels at the other end. Luckily, they are similar sizes. First door removed Opposite end panel removed Assembly started (Note: Locking room door also swapped) Getting there.... And placed on layout
Shadow
Next problem is painting. What colour? Cream and Green, but which shades? Also, priming the plastic, paint straight on or a primer coat of something first? Time to ask Google!

Drawed
Hi Shadow Been following along, looks great. I've got the same signal box kit, but I haven't got around to making it yet. If you haven't found anything about colours, this may be of use. http://www.stationcolours.info/index.php?p=1_4_LNER Eddie

Really like the look of the layout (know the area very well). Just one question, is your head shunt at the bottom of the layout a usable length as it looks very short though that might be the photos? Also, priming the plastic, paint straight on or a primer coat of something first? Time to ask Google! Weathered. Seriously. By the time it's been high-lighted and shaded to give definition, bleached and peeled and covered in track dust and soot, it will be the weathered shades of green and cream! Me being me I'd spray it with Halfords grey primer. I could then brush paint in either water-based acrylics or enamels. I would use for the former, but either would work, it depends what you like working with. Good progress! Edited May 30, 2016 by Edwardian

The head shunt at the bottom right (if that's the one you mean) isn't a head shunt! It leads under the bridge to form a second loop, that in my world goes off to some industry (or something) Hopefully this may (or may not) make it clearer. Shadow
Painting so far. Needs a bit of touching up around the edges. Hat's off to those who can line out engines etc. by hand. Those frames on the model are about 2mm wide and I still can't paint them without getting it in the wrong places!

Shadow
If you like the colour's they are as follows Cream is "Buttermilk" Green is 2 parts "Christmas Green" to 1 part "Avocado" The "Light Buttermilk" is, as it's name suggests, a bit paler!(less creamy) Got these from Hobbycraft. £1.80 I think.

Edwardian
Very good. The weathering and tones on the buildings and rolling stock make for a very realistic appearance indeed. Did you do anything clever to the photo to gain that rather convincing old photograph quality?
