I was in Devon over the weekend and thought it would be rude not to pop down to the SDR to see their recently repainted LT Pannier L92.

The weather was great here's a shot of her returning to Buckfastliegh at Staverton Station.

I must say they've done a cracking job on her and even changed the lamp irons from GWR pattern to straight and added the fold away side screens often seen tied back towards the rear of the cab in prototype photos of the time.

In between appearances of L92 at Staverton the yard was busy with some shunting going on in the engineers siding.  The first one shows MFP No:4 shunting a TVG wagon near the beautifully restored signal box.  Ironically, I'd been up to Trusham to get some shots of the countryside as a reference for a future project.

Then, I just managed to capture D3721 framed by the bushes as she set off to shunt some wagons.

I had a lovely ride later behind L92-she sounded great. The sun was shining, the surrounding countryside was a vibrant green and the Dart shimmered in the late afternoon sun.

A great way to spend an afternoon....

Cheers,

Mark

Here she is at the Thomas the Tank Engine weekend 4th May, when the announcer called her "Red Duck!" I really like the depth of colour the maroon has, much better than green :P Worked really nicely - no problem with a packed train of 7 Mk1s :D

I've spared you the face attached to the front!
