You are right, and worse they are so thin they did not put in the door at the end of the extension either. Such a shame. Both Bachmann and Hornby are best at doing the main elevation ....then everything else goes to pot. Their sizes are strange as well, sometimes a building in the set is too big and another too small. It makes matching the birds eye / Nimbus2000 view very difficult.

compromise, compromise, compromise, grrrrr eventually a scratch build but that's a very long way off with so much else to do.

Hope you had a great Xmas, and are looking forward to the new year. We plan a quiet evening in, though food and drink may make an appearance  xD

You know I am amazed and humbled by your & Kal's modelling as well as Mr. and Mrs. Sasquatch's artistry and craftmanship,  but have you stumbled across this modeller's work yet? He created a Goathland Station diorama 6 or 7 years ago that inspired me.

Hi Clay

Yes, fabulous are they not. I think it was one of the first inspirations I had, though I think I came across it while looking at some of his other work. I seem to recall a Scalextric he (or she)  had done in someones loft.

Anyone else reading here should take a look, really good work.

have a Happy New Year Clay

Yep love the 60's too, Beatles, Rolling stones. La la la ....oops!

Seriously though, I have some others, I will try and post pics.

None of my stuff has been weathered or detailed yet, but will be when time and bottle allow.

Jaz, I shouldn't worry too much about Ethel. She's Mutton dressed as lamb!

Thanks for posting up all about your very sophisticated control system. For someone still using string to control train movements it made very informative reading! Sasquatch has a million questions Kal but wont bother you as I still have two balls of string left!

Happy New Year to you guys from The Sasquatches. :drinks:

See, Jaz, there are some of us who happen to prefer our ladies with a measurably more shapely posterior...  it's usually only the other women folk who take isssue when the tender has a few yards of extra coal space.  Helps them go non-stop for longer, you know.
