I will be their Saturday. Most probably drift towards the DEMU stand. Is their a meet up or is that to early to decide?

My suggestion would be for those who wish to meet to gather in the top corner of the hall where the AMRSS stand usually is - generally fairly quiet and spacious, whereas blocking the front of someone's layout or demo stand may not be appreciated?

Hi all,

I've added some info to the above list relating to the Peco "Shows You How" Seminars,

Following on from last year's succesful Peco seminars the subject this year will be "Controlling Your Railway - choosing the right systems and equipment"

Once again, entry to the seminars will be by ticket available at the Peco stand, as per last year numbers will be limited, I'll post more details of times etc when available.

See you there!

Craig

There was a mention in the Warley thread,I think, of a RMweb badge being available to help identify fellow sufferers. Anyone know anything about these, or do we just print one off from the title logo? As for a general meeting up, the AMRSS stand usually has plenty space around it- would c1pm daily be a convenient time to congregate?

For those who haven't been to Glasgow recently ,or at all, I can assure you that it has morphed over the years from a collection of sometimes uninspired club layouts into a very good show with something for everyone, no matter what level of talent/interest in the hobby, and needs a good few hours to appreciate it all. I often go twice, rather than try to cram it all in in one go.

I've never been to the Glasgow show but it should be good if Perth is anything to go off.

Quite buzzed,

Paul.

Hi Paul,

Yes - Perth is a great show - A great regional show.

Stan will kill me for saying that.....

But - Glasgow is a great show as well - A great national show.

In terms of numbers through the door - Glasgow is only beaten by Warley.

The beauty is that the scrums are smaller!

This could be due to the extra day that Glasgow is open for.

See you at the show!

DEMU stand as usual?

Thanks

Phil Holman

I know who I'm looking for Phil, I'll soon track down the DEMU stand and those manning it.

You won't need to look very hard, as you come in the door Harburn Hobbies will be on the left as usual, the AMRSS stand 1 will be right in front of you and DEMU will be to the left of stand 1smile.gif

Cheers

I will be in attendance. Treating a couple of friends to a day out there. Hoping I might have a convert to the hobby by the end of that.

Won't be spending much money though. I might treat myself to a book, but other then that it'll just be a few Parkside kits. Saving up for a bottle of Octomore, so funds are a bit tight.

  • RMweb Gold

I will be there too but on the Saturday only. The previously mentioned Rangers v Celtic match made flights difficult to get.

Looking forward to seeing Dagworth and saying hello at the DEMU stand.

Another change to the lineup!

The Association of Larger Scale Modellers have withdrawn from the show.

Brilliant Baseboards have now been confirmed as attending the exhibition.

I'll update the lists earlier in the thread too.

Another change to the lineup, the "EM" layout "Rothbury" which was to be exhibited by one of our member clubs has had to withdraw from the show due to being damaged during the recent cold snap, the club are replacing it with an "O" gauge layout, I'll add the details once I have them.

The layout which Southdean modellers are replacing the above is the 7mm finescale layout "Otterburn", originally built by Ian Futers.
