June 2015 - before the introduction of DBSOs on the Cumbrian coast services.

 

37423 at Preston with 37402 at the rear on a Preston-Barrow.

A 6 minute connection at Barrow into a Carilsle service, headed with 37606 (37419 was at the rear)

Rare shot of it still with split boxes, it was an early accident victim with d6774 and ended up with Centre boxes/ roof horns.

Great picture , not sure what the building is next to the 25 have a feeling it maybe the ash pits

There must have been locos all over that day

Cut up by me! Still got the cab desk power handle assembly somewhere....

No - I worked at Riley's. We stripped the parts we wanted, then cut the body into sections that would fit into a roll-skip!

 

I did save some other off bits - bodyside steps etc - to incorporate into my shed, but I think they got left behind in a house move.

At least something survived from this picture is 6757. The building in the background with the water tank on the roof was the shedmasters office
