RMweb Gold 4630 Posted May 7, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 7, 2015 Is it me or is the nameplate giving me the finger? Cheers, Mick Cheers, Mick It's funny you say that Mick as that thought had crossed my mind too when I took the photo. It was quickly followed by a second thought that I couldn't see how the nameplate has been fixed to the side of 66741. If they've used industrial strength 'No More Nails' - other adhesives are available - I hope they've used a generous amount as it's a pretty big nameplate. RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted May 10, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 10, 2015 They have certainly repainted 66705 quickly! It must have only been at Eastleigh Works no more than two weeks. The average time that a GBRF 66 normally stays their for a repaint is 3-4 weeks sometimes longer. Can't believe it has been done that quick. It was taken in for the repaint on 21st April and was sighted outside the shed on 7th May. So yes just over two weeks! That's an impressive turnaround. We must have been there at pretty much the same time Peter. Here's the view from the Glenferness Avenue road bridge with 66014 in the distance. And looking in the other direction with a Freightliner 66 in view. Assorted 66s were parked up at Baiter and towards Seldown Bridge.
