Owd Bob
For the first time in over a month i finally got to get out to see a real loco' 66080. 9-7-'19. Passing Crows Nest junc' Hindley at 2.08pm in the heavy rain. I've never seen a 66 in any other colours than DB Red or the old EWS, so it makes that 'Signal toothpaste' liv' above a thing worth seeing even if it looks daft to me.

Alcanman
66109 'Teesport Express' at Newsham, Northumberland this afternoon with North Blyth - Tees Yard. The coal is destined for Tata Steel in South Wales. With the dearth of GBRF power station coal trains, I wonder if this, (Weds only) traffic, could be the last regular coal train on the Blyth & Tyne.

AberdeenBill
Hi all, the line between Dyce and Inverurie is currently being redoubled, necessitating a four-month blockade from May to August 2019 and there are plenty of Freightliner 66s employed on engineering trains. A few days ago (25 July), 66561 and 66557 were parked on the newly doubled section just northwest of Dyce. Raith's Farm freight depot, which is normally empty, is being used as the supply base and there were no fewer than four 66s stabled there; 66560, 66957, 66593 and 66956. Thanks, Bill
