I hadn't realised that they have already revinyled some Drax biomass hoppers.

(A quick flickr search reveals quite a few!)

Individual revinyled wagons have certainly become more numerous this year.

There isn’t a full revinyled set operating yet on the LBT-Drax circuit, but it’s only a matter of a few months now I would think. They will look rather smart with a GBRf liveried class 60 on the front.

8-7-'20. A bit blurred as i was caught out looking t'other way over Taylors Ln. bridge at Ince, Wigan at 2.05pm when these three silently sneaked up. 66531 at the front and 66416 at the rear, middle one is anybodies guess...unless anyone knows other wise? Realtime trains says it was 628Z.

Railcam Data says 0K66 headcode, from Carlisle New Yard to Crewe Basford Hall LHS, middle one was 66560. 628Z was the obfuscated headcode of 6J48 Colas working, 057A was the obfuscated headcode for the working you saw.

HTH,

Jack.

A couple of recent ones from me. Click the pics for a browse of the Flickr site.

50035449808_1b031049d6_b.jpgThe sun comes up on the end of another night shift by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr

The last train of my night, 66533 catches the early morning sun as it sits on the Down Reception at Westbury with 7O52 for Chichester. A shame I didn't have the proper camera with me!

Under what I call a 'Toy Story' sky, 66165 sits at Westbury in the New Sidings with nearly 2 hours to wait for departure time on 6W05 to Lostwithiel. 66080 was on the rear. GBRF's 66740 'Sarah' sits alongside, waiting for Monday's Eastleigh trip.

50005536126_a2e7972bd6_b.jpg66197 66080 Westbury by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr

66080 tailed 6W05 to Cornwall yesterday (seen here flic.kr/p/2jbLyrW ) and today brought it back. Both it, and yard pilot 66197 are Wales bound tonight on the loco convoy, so when 6W05 arrived, 66197 dropped on top and moved the whole ensemble from the Up Reception to the Up Yard. Why do two moves when you can do it all in one? The ten autoballasters will be reloaded here in the virtually quarry. The light in the Up Yard this time of day is difficult for photos, but I quite liked the colour of the backlit greenery and the sky, that earlier in the day had delivered some heavy down pours!

50014017236_542f36b8ed_b.jpg66420 59004 Westbury by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr

Even a few months after the takeover of Mendip traffic, the sight of a Freightliner engine on it still takes some getting used to.From memory (it was taken over three months before uploading!) the traffic 59004 was on had to go back to Merehead. Don't take it as gospel, but I've got a feeling it was a cancelled loaded Woking (due to issues on the Southern - Laverstock landslip perhaps?) and the 66 which was left from weekend engineering trains was used in multi to get the train up the gradient on the Merehead branch.

50124422376_694dbd62ae_b.jpgSecond in class by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr

Now looking rather careworn in its 22 year old paintwork, current yard pilot engine 66002 sits at Westbury. This one, as well as 001, are the only 66s in the DB fleet not to be fitted with buckeye couplings. It does make shunting easier, having a bit more room to stand when hooking on or cutting off.
