Today’s route learner with Freightliner was 66418 ‘PATRIOT’ passing Rosegrove which this time ran from Crewe Basford Hall to Manchester Victoria then Man Vic to Farington Junction-Farington Junction to Man Vic and then back to Crewe Basford Hall, must have felt like a bit of extra driving in the nice weather!

The past 3 days I've photographed and videoed the 4L78 1451 Tees Dock (Flt) to Felixstowe North F.L.T. driven by a regular contributor on here. Powered by, in order 66539, 66503 The Railway Magazine & 66504. Also 66779 Evening Star on a GBRf liner train. These are easiest to see at the beginning of https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/recentlyadded

(although they will move down as I add the wagons from the consists).

All eyes on 66708 (plus 73119, class 442420 and 73201) reversing at Branksome less than an hour ago. The train started at Eastleigh today, but originated a few days earlier at Wolverton. Not sure why the class 442 is being brought back to Bournemouth though; it's one of those still retaining DC motors.

Nice to see you out and about Andy. I trust you behaved yourself at Eastleigh.

Thanks Peter, I will be over there again one day this week I hope, I need to pop into AC as I now have some inspiration for a new project I think, but keeping that OFF Seven Mills at the moment.

Hope to meet you there one day, I did enjoy my sausage roll there last Monday.:D

One of GBRF's dedicated Class 66's pulling the Royal Scotsman through Bucksburn earlier this evening. En route from Edinburgh to Keith I think, always a good jumping off point for the distilleries of Speyside.

When did Class 66's start appearing on passenger workings? I had it in my head that they weren't suitable for passenger workings, which is why EWS (remember them?) ordered class 67's?

Thanks

Ken
