This failed at Thurston (near Bury St Edmunds) and rather bizarrely was rescued by the RHTT - 57011/57008 with 2 x FEA inside !! - the whole lot went to Felixstowe.

That would have made an interesting 'one off type' photo.

Perhaps we should start a thread of bizarre train rescue formations/workings - with extra points awarded for photographic/video evidence?

66003 working 4Z14, 07:05 Scunthorpe BSC to Peak Forest, approaching Bradley Jn on 14th October 2014 passes 185112 working 1K06, 08:41 Manchester Piccadilly to Hull.

Just for a change, it would be good to have a sky in West Yorkshire that didn't look like an 18% grey card.

Unidentified class 66 heading towards Westbury, taken on Thursday 16/10/2014 at 14:58. From the hillside with the "White Horse" on it.

If anyone can identify it by the time, I'd be grateful, thanks.

Rob, it's probably 7C77 Acton - Merehead, making the loco more than likely a 59/2. I think last weeks trains will have gone from RTT by now, if they are still up, passing you at 14.58 should give a passing time at Lavington for 14.50 ish

Edit - zooming in I can see its a 59/2, the left hand grill is narrower than a 66 and the red bottles fort he fire extinguishers are visible on the under frame

Hi Jo,

Thanks for the info'. I was on holiday for a few days, so no idea of the traffic locally, or it seems, idea of a class 59 vs 66 :0)
