RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted March 30, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 30, 2015 Hi David, 66744 came through Doncaster about 5 mins before I left behind a 91, I assume it went via Milford as we didn't pass it en route and it arrived at York about an hour after me ! Did see one EWS coal train through the station, can't remember the loco, but I did get a pic of the solitary DB liveried HTA at the back of the rake! Cheers, Phil. Yes, apart from the usual seasonal fluctuations I gather recent tax changes has also influenced the generators' mix and balance of power stations 'under load'. I'm hoping for the occasional bio-mass workings across the Pennines from Liverpool BT/Tuebrook to Drax, but I'm not holding my breath. They've been in the schedule since the start of the Winter timetable but none has run to date.
locoholic
A couple from last week, taken on the branch to Swinden Quarry, near Grassington, on 27 March 2015. 66089 with inbound empties near Rylstone. A couple of hours later, and 66174 has brought empties to the quarry and is then coupled onto a loaded rake, whilst the shunter pulls the empties into the loading siding, to get them out of the way, so 66174 can depart.
