A long way from its namesake, 66757 West Somerset Railway rumbles through Huddersfield (West Yorkshire) on 24th March 2019 with 4M10, the Sundays only 13.32 Doncaster Down Decoy to Peak Forest Cemex, empty bogie hoppers.

Something different from me.

I spent a few hours, as it was nice sunny day, at my old haunt of Brocklesby Junction.

Usual passenger train fodder but x1 Class 60 x3 Class 66 and x1Class 70

Vaguely recall the signal box is listed, and the massive station is because Lord Yarborough was a financial backer in MLSR.

27-3-'19. 1.50pm. Daisy Hill Station, Lancs'  66 121 really blew my cap off as it sped through with the Wilton - Knowsley bintainer. The platform extension works seem to continue at a slow rate and a few more tree's have been lopped down along the embankment on both the North & South sides of the track since my last visit a few weeks ago.

Brilliant photos and in fact the first ones I have seen confirming that at least one of the two 66s appears to wear the same livery as per GBRf's Maritime 727.

Apparently one is 66005 and the other 66 is as yet unknown. Both will apparently be wearing Maritime Blue.

Thank you for posting the photos.

I reckon they look slightly smarter than the GBRf one due to the fact they have a simpler yellow end treatment and the side logo positioning looks more balanced. Cab side with maritime logo and number is a little cluttered though

I tend to agree with you on that. If only they had put the logo halfway between the number and the door.........but hey what do I know :sungum:

It took them ages to think of the names ...

Maritime Intermodal One

Maritime Intermodal Two

to follow (you've guessed it)

Maritime Intermodal Three

Maritime Intermodal Four

Yes, it sounds like the product of very little thought.

Logical (and there's nothing wrong with that!), but lacking in imagination and creativity are the thoughts that spring to my mind.

Probably with a weekend on engineering duties in East Anglia in prospect, Freightliner 66523 leads sisters 66568, 66522 & 66546 away from Oakenshaw Junction (Wakefield) early into their journey on 29th March 2019 with 0L00, 13.24 Leeds Balm Road to Whitemoor Yard.
