I think he’s out reasonably often along the Calder Valley from what I can recall seeing on my photos in the past.

If he ever wants a photo of something he’s driving he should get in touch via my website below. I’d be happy to oblige.  Same for any other drivers for that matter.

About an easy a load as its gets for a class 66.

Freightliner 66587 'AS ONE WE CAN', plus a solitary MWA wagon, passing through Deighton on 14th June 2020 with 6E53, 13.50 Crewe Basford Hall SSM to Hunslet Yard.

This is a reasonably regular working on a Sunday along the Huddersfield line used to transfer wagons and/or locomotives to Leeds Midland Road (which is opposite Hunslet Yard) for attention.

I've never noticed the fact that the DB logo varies between white on the red background, or red in a white box.

66055 and 066 are the only two with a white text DB logo, both done at the same time named to coincide with retirements.

They preceded the other large logo repaints by a while. On the early large logo DB repaints, some have lettering that doesn't look quite right on the logo, like there's too much white and red letters are bold enough. I think it was the first few through Toton, from memory, as some were being done by Axiom at Stoke at the same time.

You can tell a Stoke repaint as the grey on the roof ends in a slightly different place and all the door handles etc are white. Toton repaints have red handles. Some Stoke repaints used a fluorescent orange tape for the cantrail line too.

66128 is in the pic above is one of the ones where the DB logo on the side has letters that don't look quite right.

In this link to Flickr

66078/66128/66065-ArnHill Warminster.

128 is the middle loco, see how the letters are smaller than the other two. Makes the logo look wrong

Got 66188 working 6V00 and 66113 working 6O13 at the crossing on the country side of Plumpton station. The trains passed each other between Plumpton and Keymer Junction. Great to see that the Newhaven Terminal is now open and operating trains of sea dredged aggregate. Takes me back to the good old days of Cromptons and 73s and RMC JGAs..... happy days.........     : )

A few pictures of 66738 ‘Huddersfield Town’ at Horrocksford Junction Clitheroe on 20th June on the Avonmouth to Clitheroe Castle Cement running about an hour late

Which meant I was too far away on the golf course to get a pic,......

If I can get out of bed on time, it should pass me around 8am on the return tomorrow.

Did you manage any golf without getting wet,I’ve been caught in a few heavy downpours recently, luckily it had stopped when the train came.I will certainly be up early tomorrow as I’m back to work now <_<

There was a hint of drizzle for about 2 minutes on Saturday whilst playing.

But localised heavy rain seen across the valley.
