The second of three pubs I have to build for Kensington Olympia......I have a drink problem!

This is The Bricklayers Arms in Russell Gardens at the north end of the station. It was a haunt of the members of Queen and used in several episodes of Minder. It later became The Kensington and has now been demolished!

Mount board framework, plasticard walls. The blank walls will butt up to other buildings.

Here's a few recent lockdown efforts, all in N/2mm and scratch-built from card and plasticard (apart from the gasholder which is a bashed kit). None are quite finished with some details still to make and add:

Another model of an actual building for my Kensington Olympia N gauge layout. This is 1 Addison Bridge Place. The real building is currently home to a footwear wholesaler and is next to the Hand and Flowers Pub ( which will be the third pub on the layout ). The part built photo shows where it lives on the layout.

I'm wondering if there should be a cold water tank on the roof?

Here's the entrance scene to my gasholder station in N/2mm based roughly on the one in the Old Kent Road in the 70s and 80s. It's not complete, there's plenty of details to make and add, but I'm going to give it a rest for now and get back to some more railway structure modelling for the layout:

Just completed this 1:76 scale power grid model . The 132kV ’St Fergus Trident’ was first introduced up in Scotland and is one of several new designs replacing traditional electricity pylons.

This is the Hand and Flower pub, the third of three pubs on my Kensington Olympia N gauge layout. This is the only one of the three that’s still standing. Made with a mount board framework and plasticard walls and details. Some minor parts , weathering and chimney pots to add. One photo shows where it lives in relation to the layout. The blank wall is where the adjacent building will butt up to it.

Found a few images of the buildings scratchbuilt for Ilkeston Woodside MRC's 00 / 4mm layout of Kimberley ( G.N.R. / L.N.E.R. / Midland Railway ) back in 2012. All the buildings were constructed with a combination of plain styrene, embossed brick styrene and embossed tile styrene sheets. The more important station related buildings have individual roof tiles.

One of the semi detached buildings on Newdigate St - at first glance, all of these buildings look the same, but they do have subtle differences.

Bad Spelling

It's been a few weeks since anyone added to this thread so here's a scratch-built N/2mm row of shops. It does need some details added and finishing. For example the main block is not fixed down in place, signage needs adding and the newsagents need internal details made and fitted.
