Mike Miller
I recently read on a blog here that somebody wanted details of the interior of these locos, I took some shots inside "Sarah Siddons" at the Acton Depot open day this year Hope they are useful! Cheers Mike Miller
James Harrison
Very useful! I've been working up an interior for a Radley's Met BoBo but made it basic in the extreme considering in 4mm scale you don't really see much of the inside... if he does one in 7mm it would be more worthwhile I think, plus a better challenge.... Cheers Mike Miller These are fantastic photographs. I have just finished a Radley 4 mm model, which will become 'John Lyon' ultimately. The paint and lining are done, with handrails (just to be flashy and unrealistic - 'brass') and transfers to be added. I had to use a number of lead curtain weights internally to keep the thing on the rails, and painted these black matt, but their overall resemblance to the interior shown is from the outside pretty good, so I'm well-pleased. It runs well, too. Now all I have to do is wait a few weeks for my newly acquired hip to 'bed in' (!) before I am allowed venture up to the railway in the roof to finish 'John Lyon'..... Dan Hamblin
The stainless steel pipework and large white cylinder(s) were installed during late 2012 as part of work to convert 'Sarah' to dual vacuum / air brake. Regards, Dan
