I'm afraid you're unlucky on two counts there.  Gary isn't attending Warley this year as he's been put off by the high stand rent, and he stopped stocking Markits wheels a couple of years ago anyway.

Now that's a shame as it's stands like these that make it worthwhile going to a show like Warley.I imagine the stand rent is massive being the NEC .You can see why box shifters are in abundance over the small traders.

That's handy. Hope no copyright issues.

I can actually have a weekend off and I am tempted to go. But 87 layouts! How do I get round that many in a weekend - never mind look at any trade stands?

I came up with a formula, and worked out that x number of layouts with an average of y frontage, divided by z number of people spending t minutes viewing each one, ends up with an average of 7 bashes with rucksacks, 1 piece of flexitrack in the eye, and 0 bargains from the Bachmann scrum...

All set for tomorrow. Bringing a minibus full of Durham locomotive Preservation group members. First time for myself and some of the other lads, really looking forward to it. Is Bachmann having a clearance event again this year? Heard it was good last year

well having spent 12 hours helping with the show I hope people appreciate the effort needed to put this event on.

Some very good layouts, a lot of traders and lots of support from the specialist societies, magazines and seeing a number of full size Standard Gauge (new build patriot), and narrow gauge (Corris 0-4-2T and coach as well as a Baldwin 4-6-0T and a Simplex) is fantastic.

Come and talk to the demonstrators - they don't bite and have some great knowledge and ideas to support you in your modelling.

PS I have the gloves and sample stock ready for you to have a go at weathering... and no airbrushes will be use din this demo(!)

The best thing is to go through the list of layouts and work out which are your must see ones. For trade I always think exhibitions are a chance to have a look at new things. Most stuff can be got through the post these days

A cold and foggy start from RMweb Towers.

My tip for the day is to make sure you see Kendal MRC's 'Scorbiton'; the building modelling is excellent!

Drop by the stand and say hello to the team, keep left as you enter the hall and we're nearly halfway along.

Unless you want paints, solvents and many other restricted items now :)

No Warley for us as it's the last weekend before next year that we can see the I laws in West Sussex.

Did just see a warning sign near Gatwick advising that the M40 is shut between j11 & 12. Don't know any more than that so worth checking the travel reports if using the M40 to NEC.

A (slightly blurry) Pendon information stand (D12) earlier today.

I'll be on the stand tomorrow along with a few others and I may even wear an RM Web name badge!

Please come and say hello.

Sure it wasn't a DMU?  They were known to some as "bog carts" ;)

Enjoy Warley.  For the n-th consecutive year I'm 12,000 miles back in the queue and unlikely to make it to the door before the show closes :(

Didnt realise there was a comic book convention on too, people are looking at me wondering which super hero i am.....

"Train driver man" faster than a speeding shed!

Getting cash and wandering down now

I thought it was "train driver man, asleep in a stationary shed".

Enjoy Warley Chaps - the missus is making me go to 60009 for two weeks instead............... :sungum:

Well you'll be warmer than the rest of us then. (I wonder how that one stuck in my memory I didn't even have to look it up)

I probably won't make it to Warley this year so look forward to lots of photos. I hope everyone who does has a grand day out.
