RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted August 17, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 17, 2013 (edited) Eastwestdivide, that first Leicester picture would not be out of place in the "real thing looks like a model" thread. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted August 17, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 17, 2013 (edited) Taken today at the DRS Kingmoor Open day, 20305 just before the downpour. Interesting to note that one bogie has a drilled equalising beam on one bogie, but not the other. 20309 on the right also had one bogie of each type, but in the opposite configuration to 305. Just noted that there's no HI headlight on 305..... unlike 20309. I may move up workbench plans to do a pair of DRS choppers. This was done in "preservation" - 20905/20096 IIRC. I think there was only one 20 done in "normal" use - 20088?? Here they are on an embryonic Blackmill way back in Feb 2006........ Here they are on an embryonic Blackmill way back in Feb 2006........ 20096_905.jpg Cheers, Mick Yes very nice Mick. I did see 20 088 back in the day and thought that particular livery suited the class well. Others may disagree though. Sadly, the only class 20 picture I'd want to post here never got taken! It was the only time I got haulage, a pair from Scarborough to Seamer in the mid 80's. I cant even remember the numbers, but friends were changing at Seamer to go on to York and took a freshly repainted 47 instead of waiting to see what turned up on the following service. They were kicking themselves when they got off at York and saw the 20's pulling in a few minutes later! All I recall is they were disc headcode locos but the rest is lost to my fading memory. A mate who worked on the York - Scarborough line had a photo I think but again, this is long gone. Cheers. Sean.

DOCJACOB
6/92 was a bit of a good time if you were in the Grimsby area. The two enclosed images are at Brocklesby Junction prior to closure of the platform to passenger access. There was also a regular pair of 20's working on a stainless steel run from Sheffield. Slab into Grimsby Docks and coil as the reverse working. I've got many images and even at this late stage I've Marsh sidings Grimsby with 2 pairs of 20's, the green 20's at both Brocklesby and Immingham Depot, some 20's on the Ilmenite working between immingham dock and the British Titan Products I'll get scanning some more
