Another one not long for this world, former BR 20035/CFD 2001 stands outside the shed at Toddington, in October 2016. This one is now hairpins and razor blades.

montyburns56
It's ironic seeing two of them next to a 58 as I've always wondered if it was inspired by the Class 20 body shape. 1 3

montyburns56
20222 Markinch 2008 20 219+221 whistle through Markinch on a Thornton Junction - Dundee mixed freight What aroused my interest in this picture was the wagon with hazard stripes in the bay platform. Was it a match truck for the shunter I wonder?

Three fitted wagons behind the "blowthrough" brakevan meant it could run class 6 fully fitted.

It could be, but it's just that the hazard stripes suggested to me that it was semi-permanently attached to the shunter.

RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted January 19, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 19, 2020 Had a fun day out yesterday following the DRS 20's. Some strong departures, with 13 on that was a bit of a load ! Started with the 57's sounding fine at Derby, followed them to York, Leeds (Took a spin past the 19 pacers at Gascoigne wood and the LNER/now EMR branded HSTs at NL). Video here a few pictures my 9 year old daughter took here.. I'm proud of her efforts !
