terry.ecmr Posted August 21, 2013 Share Posted August 21, 2013 I have a Bachmann class 25 with factory fitted sound. I bought it at a fair and have just got around to using it. I had tested the sound when I bought it and all was okay. However, when I started running it, it would stutter and cut in/out. Now the chip appears to have died. D421 Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Sorry to say this but it does sound terminal....My advice would be if possible contact the seller first them maybe Bachmann. Stevelewis Posted August 23, 2013 Share Posted August 23, 2013 Just before you abandon the decoder have you tried a factory re set?? enter value 8 in CV 8 You might also try to enter a different loco address, Have you also tried to test the loco on an analogue (DC) supply? (with the decoder still in place) if it doesnt work on analogue try removing the decoder and ftr a blanking plug then retest on analogue. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
