SWT442
Some great pictures, certainly liking the early pictures of the class! Here's a few from me, mainly from the Wessex area. Royal Claret liveried 67005 "Queens Messenger" leads an ECS service towards Eastleigh, with 67024 on the rear. The working is 5Z40 Eastleigh T&RSMD to Chichester, which went into the East Yard for some reason... 30/6/2012. The other Royal loco, 67006 "Royal Sovereign" is seen from Campbell Road bridge as it waits to enter Eastleigh. It's working 0V38 Marchwood MOD to Eastleigh Yard. 6/2/2013. The bosses must've been away for this! 67006, 67026 & 67005 are all multi'd up as they exchange the token with the Signaler at Marchwood. The trio are working 6B94 Fawley CAD to Eastleigh Yard, giving the driver 9,900hp for a mere 14 TTA's! 7/2/2013 Seen on a cold January evening, 67014 "Thomas Telford" pauses at Banbury with 1H65 Birmingham Moor Street to London Marylebone. 4/1/2013. 67020 powers up through Beaulieu Road with 1Z58 Swanage to London Victoria VSOE. 67028 is on the rear. 7/6/2013. Union Jack branded 67026 "Diamond Jubilee" waits to enter Eastleigh Depot with 5Z21 Southampton Western Dock to Eastleigh T&RSMD. 30/6/2012. Royals 67026 "Diamond Jubilee" and 67006 "Royal Sovereign" pair up to work 4O40 BMW Oxford to Southampton Eastern Docks, seen pulling away from Eastleigh. 4/2/2013. That's all for now, need to have a dig through the folders to see what else I've got! Andy.

Glorious NSE
Some from back in the day, when they were new, shiny, all in matching Wisconsin Central inspired paint, and still busy with Royal Mail traffic... 67007 leads a sister light through Lostwithiel, 12/07/01 - at this time there was a regular light engine trip from Plymouth down to St Blazey and back for fuelling every day... 67002 'Special Delivery' at Cockwood Harbour with an up mail service, 15/07/03 67014 passing Newport, then later the same day shunting at Bristol RMT, 11/07/03 67018 'Rapid' stabled at Plymouth, 17/07/03

Glorious NSE
Too many little passenger trains? How about some bigger ones then! So, in 2004 EWS was suddenly left with a fleet of modern high speed loco's with little work, and started looking for new ways to use them - Virgin was in the process of trying to cope with Operation Princess, and needed to source some extra summer Saturday capacity - EWS was contracted to provide 4 trains (2 northbound, 2 southbound) every Saturday, formed of long rakes of Mk2s. Unfortunately the small fuel tanks on a 67 didn't allow the whole diagram to be done by one loco, so it required 6 loco's to work 4 public services, the additional loco's pulled the Northbound rakes (with the train loco's dead) from Old Oak Common to Paignton and then dragged the Southbound rakes back to Old Oak Common in the evening! In addition the long rakes meant some very slow timings with them being 'overtaken' en-route which I suspect means they were less well used by 'normals' than intended. The issues meant that from 2005 the summer extra stock was hired in HST sets from GNER and MML... Anyhow, here's a few pics from Devon during July/Aug 2004, it was fun (at least for the railfans) whilst it lasted...

SWT442
Loving the pictures that are coming through. Never knew the 67's worked proper Virgin services, gives me an excuse to run my 67 on the MK2 rake I have! Anyway, a few more from me. Daylight breaks onto the front of 67006 "Royal Sovereign" as it comes into Redbridge. The working is 7X19 Didcot to Marchwood via Laverstock & Redbridge and had 11 KWA "Warflats" with Warrior tanks on them. 6/2/2013. 67016 speeds towards Shawford with 5O61 Wembley to Eastleigh T&RSMD ECS. 29/11/2011. 67022 tows 70000 "Brittania" through Shawford with 5Z70 Didcot GWS to Eastleigh T&RSMD. 3/9/2012. At the head of 1R34 London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street is 67025 "Western Star". 19/8/2013. Leaning through the curve at Ashurst New Forest, 67028 drags 35028 and its stock on 1Z98 Swanage to London Waterloo via Laverstock. 27/4/2012. And an "old" one from me, taken on my first camera! 67029 before it was named is seen at Doncaster with a train of scrap SWT slamdoor EMU's. ~2005. RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted December 11, 2013 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 11, 2013 We were at Kings Cross last Friday night when I heard something a bit different come into the station. it was 67016 towing an East Coast trains service . Not sure where had come from but it was late so presumably had failed enroute. Not the best of shots as I had to take it very quickly to avoid getting someone right in front of the lens

br2975
67005 at the head of 1X01 bringing H.M. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales & Duchess of Cornwall to Cardiff for the state opening of the Senedd - 7th June 2011. . I nipped out of work to catch this and whilst taking one photo, I could see through the viewfinder a member of the entourage greeting the royal party kept waving at me - I put the camera to one side to see it was my (big) boss ! . I made my way along the train snapping every coach 2 or 3 times, and not one member of security staff bothered me, even those who have in the past when snapping something humdrum like a Pacer !
