67006 'Royal Sovereign' approaching Deighton on 29th May 2022 with 5Z67 from Belmont Down Yard to Huddersfield.

This was the empty stock to form 1Z68, Huddersfield to Wembley Central, supporters special in connection with Huddersfield Town's appearance in the Championship play-off final.

I bet that really was a journey of two halves - 1Z68 full of hope and optimism; the return 1Z70 full of disappointment.

Started off from Crewe Electric with 67010 attached as well but only made it as far as Platform 5 before returning and detaching 67010 which was needed elsewhere so was running 27 late when it passed through Hatton.

DB Jubilee 67007 T&T 67006 - 1Z60 Royal Train

After taking HM and other Royals from Windsor to Edinburgh overnight, I managed to see 67007 T&T 67006 work the ECS of the Royal Train back to base at Wolverton as 1Z60, through Grendon near Atherstone.

Thanks,

Jack.

Royal Skip, 67005 'Queen's Messenger', was out to play on the annual Pullman service for 'Glorious Goodwood', the 1Z80 09:39 Victoria - Chichester. Pullman liveried 67024 brought up the rear on a beautiful late July morning. Sadly the sun was not quite in the right place for a really good photo, with the ends of the locos in the shade. Here they both are just south of Pulborough - 29th July 2022.

Not very often I say ‘oh dear’ but that looks awful, the red and black just don’t go together

maybe once it weathers down a bit it might look better

I've just seen a more side on picture of it on WNXX and it really is awful. Absolutely no thought seems to have gone into it. Presumably that large slab of black is to match the ex Grand Central Mk4s so that they don't need to repaint the coaches.

Is that a way of blaming the livery on under-funding from TfWales?
