George Hudson
I guess a machine made plastic one would probably be as better model but that's less fun and at normal viewing distance this is probably just as good! Andrew
hayfield
Andrew I guess the Pendon modellers look back at their models as say, if only I !! You have made a super model which for many of us is near perfect. I thing the saying for it in the South West is Top Job
Chubber
I guess a machine made plastic one would probably be a better model but that's less fun and at normal viewing distance this is probably just as good! Andrew door3.jpg I disagree strongly with the first part of the above, it would not be a better model door, it might be a more smoothly finished purchased plastic object in the shape/form of a door but it would not have been modelled by the modeller. I agree wholeheartedly with the second part of the above, it is more fun, in that one's mind is being fooled into believing it is a miniature wooden door and better because you have taken time and care to play the deception on us. George Hudson
Thanks. An excellent philosophical distinction and one with which I will not argue!
George Hudson
Followers of this threadette will know that as soon as the project moves ahead a centimetre, I take a new photo. Well here it is: all I have done is improved the colour of the stone but shows Aldersgate and I are still alive. I have managed to co opt at friend to help me get the layout erected again. George Hudson
Amazing what a couple of pins, beads and thin foam strips make. It's even almost symmetrical! Andrew (ps spot the press stud)
