Continuing with the over bidge sidewalls.............all 4 sides have now been "mortar joint filled".

Just requires the excess, removed, then colouring of brcks to begin.

The main body of the over bridge brick  joint's will be done tomorrow.....................

Moorings......... :paint:

So,.to a 2nd fit,of the over bridge...........

As you will see, it has had an overall coverage,of brick mortar, you may think there is a lot of excess on the brickwork, this is only fine powder residue and requires polishing off.

The lighting I am using to take the pics, tends to highlight the powder, the next stage will be couloring the brickwork, this evening.....No doubt,Lofty sr,will attend for a couple of hours.

Main body,..........mortar washed............. :O

I cant remember seeing an MLV on this train, one particular aspect of it was that it conveyed ferry vans of fruit for Woods at Sittingbourne as well as the BSK.

Normally these were Transfesa wagons which still had vacuum brakes working on them. However if it was an Interfrigo vac piped only then there would a mixture of any vac braked ferries we could must to give brake force. Normally these were empty Transfesa, but SNCF vans were used on occasion. Sadly I never got any photos, hopefully Ernie may have some in his archive.

Moorings,

There follows a very short clip, from a 6.min.  NAFF.Company Video.

The video was made,to see if the new overbridge was in porportion.

Unfortunatley,......some (1.inch.) of vegetation, will have to be,chopped out, adjacent to the over bridge, an over zealous,Lofty sr.

I have a couple of pics of MLV's over at Ramsgate if they are of interest? Without looking I think one is in NSE colours and the other is in Jaffa cake livery but has had a lot of graffiti work done on the side, might make an interesting project as a model. :)

I've only got a few shots of a van and BSK in Dover Town.  IIRC occasionally some of the van trains ended up at Dover Town Yard on a Sunday and then ran as one train to London Bridge.  On more than one occasion the shunters forgot to undo both ETH connectors and one would get ripped off.  I will try and find them today.

Had a very enjoyable time, last week end at the ModelRailLive, show at Newark,

Thanks for the hospitality, Kal & Jaz............arboretum-valley

In need of help in the picture below.

Where the orange marker is, there appears to be a "ground shunt signal".

I cannot determine what it is,..........unable to take pics from front view, inside, the tunnel.

Can only guess,it is indication for which way the scissors crossing is set, approaching from the south, out of the tunnel,on the righthand track.

What would the colours be ?.2.whites,shewn for set ahead,......2.reds, set ahead closed ? sorry if I have the wrong, terminology.

Oh, and we enjoyed your company repartee for tea :)

Dave,

Signal is YE626 position light ground signal showing two reds or 2 whites, for trains coming out of the tunnel into the station. I don't know if is for shunt moves but I asume so.

I will have a CD of my Dover pics and plans and signalling diagrams etc for you if you find me on the balcony at the Folkestone Show.

Cheers.

Paul.
