The depths of the cliffs can be made more shallow      but are you limited to where the backing board rises?

I'd have preferred a bit more         rather than vertical.

You could do it photographically of course, with added foliage and ground cover.

But I'd still like a bit more 3D texture...

Regards,

Hal.

Will explain, a little more of these insulation board's later, Hal.........but agree, with your statement's.....

Zip texturing.,    was suggested to me by Richard Johnson,(Dcc Concepts), when he first seen me put the board's in place, (elsewhere).

This technique was created in the 1960's and was revitalized,  a couple of year's ago,in the USA.

I would have liked to put a link up to the article, but think it , maybe against the rule's of this forum, for where it is.

But,am sure you  will find it if you google it.

I'll watch the video later. Otherwise, one danger of dipping into the US stuff is the acres of stunning layouts! Their basements are so massive...  :O

PS: I'm glad I'm not the only one with a junk yard under my baseboards!  :jester:

This is only one technique of one formation, I feel no need to drown in others',

I find most you tube vid's, are method's,that usually work for them, but,

not necessarily, the way ,I want to look at the result's.

It is, at long last, under extensive renovation..........

Interesting layout , good area to model , only went there a couple of times when 332`s were on the ferry moves & an earlier trip in 85 in Dec when we walked along the beach to see a shunter which had gone throught the blocks , 73107 was on the breakdown train..was with  PCM so he may have posted similar shots !

1. At the mo. you can see,I have them vertical.

2. When I was struggling, to build a template for Shakespeare Tunnel, "runs as required", gave up his time, made and sent me this.

You can clearly see, the angle, the cliff has to be set at. (The white Bit).

I had all ready cut the angle previous to receiving the tunnel, as shewn at the top of the board's, I just need to invert them,

will do later today, give you a better idea.

The board's do encroach into the well.
