I’m going to cut a bit to fit in the basket first. If the cotton fails it will be down to the wire! Then the weather broke. I’m currently setting out the platform retaining walls. These are Scalescenes London brick mounted on 2mm grey card. The cream brick will get toned down a lot! 10mm foamboard blocks will fill the gap......a couple of photos showing progress...and a bit of the ballasting. Grahame Hedges has used them big time on his London Bridge layout. http://www.freestonemodel.co.uk/page20.htm You then use a white paint pen to do the outer frame cut out and fix. simples! It’s grey card with Scalescenes London cream brickwork. The brickwork looked very wishy washy so I’ve redone them in dark red brick. I’ve just ordered some code 40 rail to represent the LT 3rd and 4th Rail. In other news news I had a pleasant walk into York today to go to work, as I had time I walked along some of the former Foss Islands Line. Walked into work again today, this time I did part of the former York to Market Weighton Line which is now a footpath through New Earswick and more of the Foss Islands Line. A little parcel arrived yesterday from Scale Model Scenery......a couple of skips, laser cut bus shelter and some pavements. The good thing is they do different corner angles not just 90 degrees. The rider that comes with the P&D AA motorcycle might do for the driver. I'll just need to find some 4mm scale small children and splay their legs apart (ooer missus) for the passengers. RMweb Premium acg5324 Posted July 13, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted July 13, 2020 Ballasting is now finished on one board, I’d never used Ballast Bond glue before but was pleased with it, easy to glue around the delicate areas, points etc. Tomorrow the board goes into the garden to give the ballast a spray of track colour etc........In the garage if wet!
