RMweb Premium acg5324 Posted September 14, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 14, 2021 And to finish on a positive note route L into the loco siding is now working. One diode in the wrong track so setting one point in R rather than N and the failure of the new fangled induction working of a point motor………..there was no wire from L to it! All sorted so for the first time everything is now live and working. 33102 got the honor of first loco to leave the siding….due to it being first in the queue! 8

RMweb Premium Steven B Posted September 15, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 15, 2021 I'm guessing C & D stock would be more appropriate, but I'm guessing you've got half an eye on Revolution Train's '38 stock? Steven B.

RMweb Premium acg5324 Posted September 17, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 17, 2021 Not much done today apart from getting the control panel labelled. I’d made a start with some dry print lettering but wasn’t happy with it. This has been replaced with BR alphabet printed on to photo paper and glued on to the routes.

If you order them from Electra Railway instead then they come with the vinyls as well, and they accept a Tomytec TM-06R chassis for the powered car, and Kato commuter train bogies for the non powered. The chassis you might have to source from Ebay, the Kato bogies are available from Gaugemaster. Annoyingly they are sold as four car units when they only ran as 3 or 6 in reality so you end up with a spare centre car, however I would recommend starting on one of the middle cars as practice at applying the vinyls on that car which you then don't need. The vinyls seem to remain stuck to the prints that are sent by N-train, which I think are printed in-house, but I've had trouble with the versions I've ordered directly from Shapewaysto the point where I am going to have to ask Ntrain to print some bodies again for me. I wouldn't try and do these without the vinyls simply because the windows and doors turn out so nice with them done. They also take the Traintech lighting strips nicely as well if you want to install lights inside
ianmianmianm
One more which shows the ride height better. Still a bit too high but not as bad when it's surface stock. The LUL corporate livery is especially nice on these.

RMweb Premium acg5324 Posted September 21, 2021 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 21, 2021 It was a bucket load of mushy peas. Never tried mushy peas until Debbie introduced them to me….took a couple of meals……but I really like them. If you want to go hardcore it’s Mushy Peas and warm Pork Pie! has to be a really good Pork Pie though.
