I'm afraid I don'i know the correct term for it, but you can see it in this picture of 56 006. It's the aluminium coloured metal underneath the drivers door. Thanks, John. Fat Controller Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 Chequer plate, IIRC, has a surface pattern of either raised or inset diamonds- it's OK where there's not likely to be liquid build-up, but where there is, there's no way to clear all the liquid away. This is available in several styles of raised patterns the more usual ones are chequer, diamond or five bar and many sizes of thickness are available dependant on intended use.
