Every year a brilliant exhibition, always have great layouts and traders in attendance and this year looks to be no exception. For such a well respected quality exhibition, for which I've always heard fantastic coments about from everyone I've spoken to about it, I can't understand why more people don't attend, although that is a good thing as it's a very relaxed atmosphere and perhaps those in attendance can pick up some real bargins on the club stand.

Couldn't agree more. This has always been a first class show and, judging by the layouts booked, this year looks to be another belter. The considerable amount of second hand items they will have for sale sounds interesting too, I'm sure most people could find something there to spend their hard earned on! From past experience I can really recommend this show. Get there if you can, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I thought it was quite busy last year. Lovely building too, would have loved to have studied there...its all space age innit!

Come on everybody.  This excellent exhibition deserves our support.  If you can attend this weekend, then make an effort.  I can promise you that you will be pleasantly surprised.  I have no connection with the club other than as a very satisfied visitor to this exhibition.  For the life of me I don't understand why it is not better attended.

Bill.

I do not know the area that well.

I have looked at Google Map and satellite and there does not appear to be a link between Ferry Lane and Creek Way.

Looks like you have to go to New Road, A1306 and then left into Marsh Way. Then straight on to CEME, which is located just the other side of the A13.

Bill.

I have confirmed that what I have said is correct from one of our more local, to the area, members.

Just got back home from setting up the show, some other members are still at CEME. I had to drop the van off.

This afternoon there was a major fire where 120 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a scrap metal yard south of the A13 near the venue.

On the way there the traffic was very slow along the A13, because of the 'Swann Neckers'. I was in the nearside lane only doing about 10mph when some idiot in front of me stopped, his arm went out the drivers window with his phone in his hand, presumably to take a photo. Blo--y Idi--

Anyway the fire is nearly out and everything is OK for tomorrow.

I am on the refreshments so come and say hello.

Andy.

I very much enjoyed my all too brief visit this afternoon.  All of the layouts IMHO were top quality, including a couple of very nice 3mm layouts I'd not seen before, despite one of them being very long in the tooth.  However, I was completely mesmerised by St Merryn - superb P4 modelling, hugely reliable and expertly operated, not "A Hand of God" in sight for the whole time I watched.  Best in show for me.
