hahughson
I am going to start off with a weighouse, based loosely on Allan's drawing in this post, but based on the one in Newburgh, Fife and in 3mm! My plan is that by starting with something simple, I can practise several 'Allan elements' but still end up with a finished building to let me view the complete building. So here is my drawing of the weighouse in question: Sorry about the quality, but it seems I need to play with my scanner setting! I've omitted the door, window and chimney detail as that'll probably be same as Allan's. Tomorrow I'm off to buy some cardboard and Colron... hahughson
Here are a couple of photographs of my prototype, although the roof and guttering are much more modern. I don't suppose anyone knows why there is a second, higher door as shown in the second photograph? Hamish
N15class
I expect one was for the clerk to get behind his desk and the other was for the drivers to get their weigh bills.
hahughson
That makes sense, although I hope one or both doors opened outwards...
