Adamphillip
I've been working on the layout today and got all the track clean and one area reballasted as it had all got rubbed away, next thing to do is fit the quarry equipment and try to wire up the point controls before fitting overhead wires
Adamphillip
urrrrrrrgh, it's been ages since I've updated this post, well now's the time! I'm currently prepping the area around the quarry for trees, lots of trees, I'm making a fully fledged forest and once my TFL layout is complete I'll start buying more stock for the N gauge

Adamphillip
So, took the main boards to my local club today, chairman got a continuity detector out......... the entire layout is one big short circuit
Adamphillip
so tomorrow I'm taking the layout back to the club for further testing, if it all works then we'll be booking the layout in for the Peterborough show
Adamphillip
ok so the folks at St.Neots club have persuaded me to redo all the shrubbery on the layout, now to get more practice in with the static grass gun
Adamphillip
ok so layout went to it's first show at Yaxley vintage festival, was a huge success and even got more scenics done.
Adamphillip
I really want to take this layout to exhibitions but not sure how
Adamphillip
now to update you all about what's happening with the layout, I've got legs to build, an overhead lighting box and a new fiddle yard as I found the previous owner had left solder in the point work on the fiddle yard and it keeps derailing trains I'm trying to reverse. I also fixed the show side point motors and need to replace some old HM point motors as they've seized up. Also in other news Oakwood lane will be appearing at Market Deeping's Stamford show.
