A two-tone green ‘no heat’ 47 on a passenger working - always more common in the Summer, especially at the weekend - but a nice capture.

I can see what appears to be an HAA to the right of 47295, but to me it looks like the loco has come off the rails....

It's not come off Dave , just sat on the tracks in Arpley Yard Warrington with bogies well hidden behind a 'Grassy knoll' having shunted a few HAA's. Some more from my travels. Wonder if the idiot sat beside the WCML in the first pic' is still a spotter....or even still alive with antics like this.:o

A SF white roof in 1972! Looking at that photo merely confirms that you can't rely on photos for colour matching - only the real thing can do that.

What is going on with that headcode panel, wondering if its stickers or actually none standard blinds .

A bit like my OCD for car reg fonts the digits in headcode panels can ruin a model or a restoration job

If you look at it closely Russ you can see a black vinyl sheet has been applied over the glass with four Tops style '0's on as well, probably due to the blinds being damaged behind the glass, not that they were in use after 1st January '76. A few other 47s were so treated too.
